"Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure--pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return." Luke 6:38 "
Will you consider setting up a recurring online offering?
"Each Parish must be able to meet its financial obligations to be a viable and effective pastoral presence.
" --Bishop McManus, Catholic Free Press, January 2008
In 2019, our income continues to fall short of the expenses, despite four years of cutting expenses. For the upcoming fiscal year, we have realized savings in expenses due to combining the pastoral and office expenses with Good Shepherd and sharing equally in the cost, but continue to need your help in making sure that we can keep the budget balanced.
Like your own household budget, savings are not unlimited and cannot be used indefinitely to pay for daily living expenses. Your parish depends on your weekly offering to meet these expenses.
Our parish is blessed to have wonderful volunteers who run programs such as Rafflemania, Project 60, and the Annual Craft Fair that contribute approximately 20% of our annual operating expenses. Although this is a wonderful way to help our parish, we cannot depend on these functions to support our parish. We depend on the regular weekly/monthly offerings of our parish members to keep the community afloat.
We ask that you please consider increasing your regular offering in this coming year. A small increase from all families would go a long way to insure that our parish remains financially solvent and our priest and deacon can continue to minister to the community.
As stated in Matthew 6:21, "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
